SFA's Skinny-Pack Reduces the Weight of Packaging By Up to 40%

  • SFA Packaging

SFA Packaging's new technology for food packaging is a technical, worldwide patent under the name 'skinny-pack', which replaces sections of the 0.45mm thick sides of the company's tubs with a much thinner 0.25-0.30mm film. At the same time and depending on the application, barrier properties can be added to the film.

The concept offers alternative solutions to heavier or more expensive forms of packaging, such as conventional injection mould packaging as well as glass. Added value can be created by means of barrier properties, mechanical sealing and/or the application of printed film, further protecting perishable goods during transportation and while in the shelf.
