ADA Packaging, based in China, has successfully made plastic more luxurious by creating doppelgangers - packaging items that look like they're composed of luxury materials but that are, in fact, elaborately decorated plastic.  The benefits of plastic are evident - it's clean, it's generally shatterproof, it can be moulded into a variety of shapes, it can be made tamper-evident, it's recyclable - the list goes on.  Now, thanks to ADA, packaging plastic can also be made to LOOK far more elegant than what we normally think it should.
