Anomatic wants to build a $68 million 250,000-square-foot facility on 23 acres at the northeast corner of Harrison Road and Innovation Campus Way East in New Albany, Ohio.
Anomatic is a packaging company that serves L Brands, Procter & Gamble, and other large cosmetics and retail companies. It specializes in anodized aluminum packaging, vacuum metallization, and metal stamping to produce high-sheen cosmetics containers, bottles, and jars.
The project would bring $2.4 million in new annual payroll. Anomatic will retain 705 jobs at $33.7 million in payroll, and the incentive stipulates that the company must maintain its operations there for nine years. Ohio was competing with sites in Connecticut and China for the project, but will be where Anomatic Headquarters are located.
The contract manufacturer has been expanding for several years since it first established its New Albany presence in 2011. Today, it's the region's fifth-largest manufacturer, according to Columbus Business First research, with 881 local employees and saw $151 million in revenue in 2018.
