Dye sublimation is a process whereby Italian company, Arsmetallo, transfers dye directly into the aluminium as decoration.
The process of sublimation can be most simply described as using heat to vaporize solid ink and turning it into a gas which can then be infused into the metal using pressure and heat. Sublimation printing is especially durable as the dye is below the coated surface.
A brushed metal look is produced by brushing the metal surface first with one abrasive belt, then with polishing it with another, softer belt. Aluminium is one of the most popular metals to receive the look which sees the surface finished with a one-directional surface roughness which continues to be shiny.
Arsmetallo can contrast brushed aluminium with 'regular' aluminium to striking effect.
The history of engraving is known to date back some 500,000 years while the history of engraving onto metal can be traced back well over 2 millenium. Engraving offers a subtle appearance by cutting into the surface. Traditionally, engraving has been used to offer a personalized message or unique iconography and Italian company Arsmetallo follows this tradition for its engraving offering.
Presentation is everything and the right decoration for your packaging can offer a whole new look or provide a whole new perspective to a product. Check out Arsmetallo's finishing and decoration options for their aluminium products!
