Rexam Fusion bottle wins top prize in LSA Innovation Award

The new Chamane natural energy drink, packaged in Rexam Beverage Can’s Fusion bottle, recently won an award at France’s prestigious LSA Innovation Awards 2011 hosted in Paris. The event rewards industry professionals for innovative products and concepts.

The new drink won the top prize in the ‘alcohol free beverages’ category. Rexam worked closely with Deveurop SAS to develop the Fusion bottle for their new Chamane natural energy drink and help it really stand out from its competitors in the energy drinks market. 

Composed from 100% natural ingredients, Chamane is targeted at working adults who want a natural alternative to traditional energy drinks. Deveurop SAS chose to package Chamane in Rexam’s 250ml Fusion bottle, with a ROPP closure, to represent and enhance the health benefits and qualities of the drink.

Rexam’s Fusion bottle is a breakthrough innovation in the market and uses drawn wall and ironed technology to create a lightweight and sophisticated aluminium bottle that keeps the drink inside fresh and chills faster than other packaging - offering faster ultimate refreshment for the consumer.

The bottle is 100% recyclable and infinitely so with no loss of quality, embodying Chamane’s vision of natural energy and its commitment to a healthier planet.

Rexam’s unique graphic design and printing techniques allowed to us to have fun with the packaging and really put Chamane in a different league from other energy drinks.

The Fusion bottle has enabled us to position our new product on the market as a premium, high quality energy drink, which has resulted in a great number of impulse buys and a high level of repeat purchases.  We have found the ROPP closure option to be a particular asset to our product as this ensures the bottle is safe for the consumer to open, with the added benefit of being resealable”.

Rexam supports British craft brewer Hobsons, with move to beverage cans

Rexam collaborates with Hofjäger to can first beer for Chinese market

Rexam, a leading global can maker, has partnered with German beer company Denninghoffs, owner of the brand Hofjäger, to can its Schwarzbier and Weizenbier ranges. The new canned format will launch for the first time in China in May 2016 before being rolled out globally. The iconic cans use Rexam's high definition printing to bring to life an image of a traditional Bavarian hunter, set against dark and tan backgrounds to reflect the character of the beers.

Rexam captures exciting and intrepid nature of both brand and expedition for Big Shock's sponsorship of Trabant Expedition

Rexam has collaborated with Big Shock, a prominent Czech energy drink brand, to create a limited edition range of can designs. Created for Big Shock's original and gold flavours, the designs reflect the dynamic and adventurous nature of the car expedition. The weathered look and feel of the design incorporates passport stamps and map coordinates, encouraging consumers to engage and follow the 15,000km journey.

The new 202 end on the 473ml offers Rexam's customers a more convenient filling format and is available in addition to the existing 206 end.

Budweiser Budvar celebrates 120th anniversary with limited edition Rexam cans

Rexam has collaborated with Czech brewer, Budweiser Budvar, to create a limited edition can design celebrating 120 years of the Budvar brewery. Rexam and Budvar worked together to create a unique design that encapsulates Budvar's history and communicates the premium nature of the beer. Using value added matt over-varnish and careful colour matching, the stand out design celebrates the anniversary and brand traditions with a visual depiction of a 19th century barmaid.

Rexam first to produce commercial beverage cans with 'Metal Recycles Forever' logo in UK
