The company BBK was founded in 1986 and employs 80 employees right now. Furthermore, BBK has appropriate sales partners in countries such as Egypt, Argentina, Chile, South Africa and Asia. In Germany we have five sales and service offices.

History

In 1986, three people started producing labelling machines in what used to be a dance hall and wood storage room of the inn which belonged to Emil and Lothar Beck’s parents – this was the beginning of BBK and it developed into an international success story in only a short amount of time. The requirements were none other than developing perfect labelling and special machines for all industrial branches and products: from desktop label dispensers or hand dispensing systems to semi and fully automatic labelling machines.

Already in the first years, BBK, which is located in the Odenwald, distinguished itself in its constant growth. Simultaneous to the activities in Germany, the international sales started to expand. Then, in 2010, BBK Netherlands was founded and in spring 2011 the first member of staff from Croatia was employed.

The head office of BBK is situated in Beerfelden and has more than 80 employees, six sales offices in Germany, sales departments in Europe and it sells labelling machines to Africa, Latin America, USA and Eastern Europe. With this world wide network, BBK can deliver their customers’ orders on time and provide them with technical centres which can competently look after them. Training experts means to invest in the future. Right now, eight apprentices are trained to be mechatronics, administrative employees and storekeepers at BBK.
From A like “Airbag” to Z like “Zebra” – today a large number of products can be labelled with BBK systems. The developers welcome the challenges which are brought along by different tasks and requirements. Durability, working efficiency and variability are the most important criteria each design must fulfil before it is realised as a machine. And when conventional labelling solutions reach their limits, BBK build their robots that can apply labels on almost every position.

A large number of international industrial companies value the innovative products made by BBK engineers. BBK has already designed machines and systems for sectors of automobile, office supplies, chemistry, electro, beverages, cosmetics, food, pharmacy, entertainment and packaging. BBK especially designed a machine to label square bottles for a German beverage industry, for instance.

German engineering finds its home in the Odenwald. This is not only symbolised by the large number of awarding which BBK received for their good performance in the last quarter of a century. In 2000, BBK received the innovation award of the Odenwald for the development of a beverage labelling machine and removal system. In connection to the trade fair “FachPack 2001” in Nurnberg, BBK received the certification for the implemented quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

The team looks positively into the future: The strong sales growth made it possible to continuously increase the number of staff in the head quarter in Beerfelden. This also ensures that the company’s motto is more than just empty words: “BBK providing solutions” is lived in the Odenwald.
