Slovenian paint producer JUB has adopted injection moulded polypropylene paint containers from RPC Superfos for the launch of two new interior paints.
JUB, the leading paint producer in the Balkans, has selected the 2.5L Paintainer® and the 15L SuperOval™ container for its JUPOL Trend and JUPOL Classic brands, both of which are targeted at the DIY market. The enhanced quality of the paints called for new packaging.
"We have experience with both metal and plastic containers, and found that plastic containers meet our requirements", comments Jelka Slatinsek, head of marketing at JUB.
The 15L SuperOval™ container is being used for JUPOL Classic, a new white paint of increased quality. The pail features vivid colours for a fresh look with a design that promotes the paint’s ability to add brilliant whiteness to any room.
The other range, JUPOL Trend, consists of interior paints in modern shades. The look of the Paintainer reflects the product name, featuring a black background with a colour drop to convey a fashionable and trendy image. In addition, an attractive musical instrument is shown on the pail to highlight each jazzy colour.
"Consumers find the packaging of the entire Jupol product family very recognisable", explains Jelka Slatinsek. "We strive for consistency and innovation when designing packaging and we are very proud of the new Jupol Trend packaging."
JUB offers paint products for both the professional and the DIY markets, and the packaging plays a key role in reflecting the purpose of the product to both.
"We want our customers to like not only our product, but also our packaging. On shelves, packaging must evoke interest; create desire to buy and sell a product. You may say the most visible form of marketing is the packaging", concludes Jelka Slatinsek, adding that the new packaging has been well received, with end users finding it beautiful and likeable.
Celebrating its 140 year anniversary in 2015, JUB paints are available both in the domestic Slovenian market and across the wider Balkan region.
