Berry Global is relaunching its popular CHSA (Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association) accredited Green Sack range of refuse sacks, which are UK-manufactured in Heanor, Derbyshire, from recycled agricultural and post-consumer plastic waste. The latest versions provide users in the cleaning, hospitality and facilities management sectors with a solution that is both easier to use and incorporates improved seals.
The sacks will now be produced in rolls of 25 and packed in a more convenient-to-use dispenser box. This format provides for more accurate stock management and easier transportation and storage.
Equally important, the sacks retain their high-quality construction and performance, offering excellent puncture and tear resistance which have been independently tested by the CHSA for compliance with its Refuse Sack Standards. New features include the introduction of multiple bottom seals across most of the range and star welds on the most popular lines.
Both of these product enhancements significantly improve leak resistance and strength integrity, enabling the sack to achieve a higher drop weight CHSA classification – an important customer benefit within the refuse sack market.
The new Green Sack® range contains over 90% recycled plastic, with RecyClass having certified the recycled content.
“The Green Sack® range has been a top seller for many years and the introduction of the convenience of sacks on a roll meets another key requirement of the away from home market,” commented Lorcan Mekitarian, Commercial Director, Berry Global Flexible Films UK’s refuse sack business.
“The range also continues to demonstrate our commitment to offering solutions that help our customers meet and exceed their sustainability goals as part of our Impact 2025 sustainability strategy.”
The new Green Sack® range is available in a variety of sizes and has been designed to fit easily onto cleaning carts, further underlying its user-friendly benefits.
