The way to enjoy a cup of coffee changes every day, thanks to the latest dispensing and packaging solutions. Food packaging has played an important role in these changes whereby a good food and beverage packaging is designed in order to facilitate either the distribution process or the final consumption as well as make the product look more attractive.

The same applies for coffee and coffee capsules; the modern and good looking coffee concept which has comfortably made a firm place for itself in homes the world over in well under a decade.

Bisioprogetti, a Guala Group Company, is a key packaging producer in the coffee packaging market thanks to the company's 25 plus years know-how in mould manufacturing and packaging research.  Since it was introduced, Bisioprogetti's own click capsule has drawn a growing appeal from coffee producers and private labels for its original technology.

The project has two different patents covering its click-clack system of activation and its sealing system. Furthermore, the capsule is unique. First of all it is activated by needle and water pressure, and it also has a special sealing system which was designed to avoid water leaking out from the coffee machine. When combined together, the two solutions offer a result that best preserves both the coffee's aroma and its taste.

Following the enormous success of the click-caps, which still continues to be one of the most preferred coffee capsules on market, the latest innovation to be launched by Bisioprogetti is a biodegradable capsule. The new capsule has been successfully tested and will be on sale shortly. Thanks to its biodegradable material the capsule will be 100% compostable* and will dissolve within 90 days, under controlled composting conditions, according to the current European regulations.

The shape and system are the same as the original PP model. Both versions of the cap with 3 openings and 6 openings are still available, so that it can adapt to the different employments - hot chocolate, tea and infusions.

The advantages of the biodegradable cap are in its uncostly price, its great adaptability to different uses, the possibility to customize the project with different colours, and all the benefits to the environment.
