Boutwell Owens celebrates 131st birthday

Boutwell Owens of Fitchburg, premiere manufacturers of printed paperboard packaging solutions, celebrated its 131st birthday on July 28th. A community wide open house at 251 Authority Drive in Fitchburg, MA welcomed visitors, and Mayor Stephen DiNatale graced the venue as the event's official guest.

Boutwell Owens commits to sustainability

Boutwell, Owens and Co., Inc. has committed to purchasing 100% of the energy needs for its manufacturing plants through wind power. Through a partnership with Renewable Choice, to secure both wind power as well as carbon offset credits, the company has undertaken a greenhouse gas study to calculate its carbon footprint as it moves towards a goal of carbon neutrality.

The company will be participating in the Turbo Talk segment of the show, with a presentation on the power of digital printing and converting to support the need for packaging adjustments during holidays and promotional events.
