The fully-automated packaging line for Vinotwist is now live and operating.

This means BT-Watzke is the only producer of caps currently using such a system. The benefits of this state-of-the-art plant are as clear as day: without direct contact, the products are transferred directly from the finishing facility, counted, and inserted into a cartons lined with plastic bags.

In the next step of the process, the plastic lining is vacuumed inline and sealed, and the cardboard packaging closed. The carton is then labelled with any relevant product information upon reaching the outlet of the facility. With this production facility, BT-Watzke now in a position to seal 1,200 cartons a day coming off both our production lines.

By collaborating with the producer of the machinery Niverplast and sister company BT-Anlagenbau, the company was able to install the new plant in a short time, and integrate it into our production lines. The fully-automated production process means we can guarantee the absolute purity of the product, enabling us to conform to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) rules.  

With the demands from clients rising all the time, this represents another step towards the improvement upon and observance of the legal framework BT-Watzke works within, which also means that they are fulfilling their duty of care as a premium supplier of the vinotwist. product.
