Bunzl plc, the international distribution and outsourcing Group, today announces that the acquisition of Diversified Distribution Systems, LLC (DDS), that was announced on 1 March 2017, has been completed following clearance of the transaction by the Federal Trade Commission in the US.
DDS is a distributor of goods not-for-resale and value-added services to retailers and other general distribution customers, principally throughout North America but also in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Based in Minneapolis and with four distribution centres in the US and several third party logistic arrangements internationally, the business supplies a wide range of packaging, consumables and operating store supplies through a variety of distribution and outsourcing programmes. Revenue in 2016 was US$312 million.
Bunzl plc, the international distribution and outsourcing Group, today announces that it has entered into agreements to acquire two further businesses in France and Denmark.
Prorisk and GM Equipement, which are based near Lyon and in Vannes respectively, are principally engaged in the sale of a variety of personal protection equipment and first aid related products to both end users and distributors throughout France. The aggregate revenue of the businesses in the year ended 31 December 2015 was €7 million. Completion of the acquisition is expected to take place by the end of January 2017.
Sæbe Compagniet, which is based near Copenhagen, is a distributor of cleaning & hygiene related products to a variety of end user customers, principally in the hotel, restaurant and catering sectors, in Denmark. Revenue in the year ended 30 April 2016 was DKK113 million (c.£13 million). Completion of the acquisition is subject to clearance of the transaction by the Danish competition authority.
