    History

    Cartotecnica Postumia was founded by Ettore Gava in 1967, after 30 years of managerial experience at a paper mill.

    The firm, which has always been managed by the Gava family (now run by members of the third generation), continues the impeccable standards set by Ettore Gava and specialises exclusively in paper packaging materials.

    Cartotecnica Postumia offers three main lines of products:
    Paper carrier bags with flat handles and handles in paper or cotton cord.
    Square-bottom, paper bags for packaging of flour, rice, sugar, charcoal, pet food and animal feed in automatic machinery.
    Paper rolls with flexographic printing for use with automatic packaging machinery, especially in the food industry.

    In brief: the firm has premises covering an area of 19,000 sq.m (9,500 covered), 130 employees and an annual turnover of approx. 20 million Euro. This signifies a daily, continuous-cycle manufacturing operations which produces over 1 million bags and carrier bags.

    Customer relationship is a priority of Cartotecnica Postumia and its Sales Department is always at hand to deal with the different and immediate inquires coming from all over the world.

    Thanks to its in-house Graphics department, Postumia offers a complete client support service: the graphically and technically designing of the bag and the packaging.
    This service includes assistance with the client’s vision of their product and fully respects current European regulations for food packaging.

    Cartotecnica Postumia is organised and structured in such a way as to fully guarantee the respect of the agreed delivery dates. In addition, it mantains a high degree of production flexibility due to a highly sophisticated IT system, planning procedures and great precision logistics. Its portfolio of clients speaks for itself: leading food companies and some of the most important names in retail, place it at the top bracket of the market.
