Clondalkin Flexible Packaging will be attending Fachpack 2016 with a host of packaging solutions and award winning products to share with visitors.

High on the list of innovations on show Fachpack 2016 is the innovative SkinTight ® film which reduces food waste through extending product shelf life.

Designed to act like an invisible second skin around food products, SkinTight ® provides a natural look for maximum shelf appeal, as well as providing a safe and secure seal preventing against contamination and leakage. Unlike similar products in the market it is formulated to seal on all widely available films and trays and is compatible with all types of converting machines.

WENTOPRO® film is another product designed primarily for the food sector and provides a high barrier against moisture but also against harmful mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH) and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH).

Mineral oil hydrocarbons derive from printing ink used in newsprint, which is commonly used to make recycled cardboard for food packaging. Some recent studies have linked these mineral oils to the inflammation of internal organs, including the liver, spleen and lymph nodes.

Clondalkin Flexible Packaging will also be exhibiting the award winning FleXtreme® printing technique that has now won three industry awards thanks to the incredible print quality that the technique achieves.

FleXtreme® provides print quality that is comparable to Gravure with very high ink and colour density at a more competitive cost level with the added flexibility of shorter production runs and leads times associated with Flexo.
