Bringing Classic Paintings to Life On Custom Metal Closures for Staud's Vienna

Premium, Primary Packaging, Jars, Pots, Caps, Lids, Caps - Metal, Crown, Printing

Gourmet jam producer Staud's Vienna successfully launched its "Kunst und Genuss" ("Arts and Delights") promotional campaign with custom-designed metal closures from Crown. In partnership with the Vienna, Austria tourism office and five of the city's most prominent art museums, Staud's Vienna sold jars of its premium jams with lids bearing striking reproductions of classic works of art to promote the city and its many cultural outlets.

Replicating priceless paintings from such masters as Rembrandt, Rubens and Klimt on metal closures posed several challenges in color matching. Crown was entrusted with this highly delicate printing project for Staud’s Vienna because of its long and successful relationship with the company. The company and the participating museums selected a total of 25 paintings from the collections housed at the different venues, and we printed the metal closures using our 4-color process with stunning results.
