War Child, the organisation committed to improving the situation of children in war areas, is represented in the Netherlands in hundreds of places on King's day. War Child has found pupils who were willing to present their old toys and lots of nick-nacks on a War Child carpet that day, with the proceeds of the sale of all those things in favour of this foundation. But how can you take all those things to the flea market on that day? Five companies co-operated in making the necessary packaging.
De Jong Packaging from De Lier invented a sturdy packaging that can also be used as a stool. All the stuff is packaged and the children do not have to sit on the floor behind their merchandise. Designer Xavier Troost of Pixel ID designed the original War Child print for this packaging and printing specialist Rudico from Eerbeek supplied the necessary full-colour flexo print blocks.
Monsterbox in Maasdijk drew the construction of the packaging and delivered the first printed plotter models. Finally, Alpha Stans from Bladel produced the rotating cutting die for the packaging production.
