Essentra has launched two new healthcare products in the USA

  • Essentra Packaging

Essentra is a global leader in pharmaceutical and beauty packaging, and the new products, Plurium™ Booklet and Combopack™, demonstrate its ability to identify current and upcoming industry challenges and provide innovative solutions.

In particular, these new products address the cost-saving drive that is under-pinning the current growth strategies of most major healthcare companies.

Plurium™ is an up-to 5 sheets booklet (total of 10 pages) glued on one edge, which provides the following benefits:

  • No foreign parts (i.e. metal staples) which can potentially lead to injuries;
  • Fully recyclable;
  • Improved features, which can be tailored to customer specifications, including for example, multi-language texts within the same leaflet but easily identifiable on separate pages (each of which can be separated from the full booklet), and coloured pages and sections.

ComboPack™ is a carton pre-packed with a fixed leaflet. Ideal for low-run pharmaceutical quantities, it allows customers to eliminate the requirement to add leaflet-packing capability into their own lines.

Malcolm Waugh, Managing Director, Health & Personal Care Packaging, said:
“Customers look to us to develop tailored solutions, which take into account the size of their business, their operational capabilities, and the quantity of products they wish to produce.
“Our two new products demonstrate our commitment to innovation and to meeting the rapidly changing requirements of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector with a highly flexible, responsive and competitive approach
