Glass is an almost infinite material. It can be used time and time again to produce sustainable bottles or packaging, as well as an array of ornaments, windows or even art pieces. Using recycled glass means making the most of it and seeking the continuous reincarnation of this material through a wide variety of objects. Using very little energy, recycled glass is reborn and rebuilt to give life to a great variety of elements that help us organize and decorate our homes.

The battle to preserve nature

We live in a time in which rubbish can be found everywhere. Oceans and seas cover 70% of our planet and, with every passing year, all the rubbish that ends up there dashes our hopes of reversing the situation.

At ESTAL, we feel compelled by the climate battle and that is why we strive to progress and innovate in terms of our contribution towards improving the planet’s environmental conditions. The truth is that we work with a material, glass, which does not cause the problems that others do, such as plastic or the batteries in electronic components. But, by using 100% PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) glass, we are able to make a greater contribution towards caring for our environment, as well as providing a hand-crafted and distinctive design for the most cutting-edge brands.

Our Wild Glass recycled glass concept is a design that seeks to highlight the natural beauty of the product, without discarding bottles that have aesthetic imperfections, thus offering greater efficiency and sustainability.

The beauty of sustainability

We often identify beauty with perfection, forgetting that there are concepts such as the Japanese Wabi-Sabi, which is based around the elegance of simple beauty.

The passage of time and the changes it causes in objects are reflected in the idea of Wabi-Sabi, in which imperfection is considered to be a part of beauty. This concept resonates well with the transformation of objects through the interaction with natural elements, such as wind and water. Nature mutates materials, transforms them and creates ‘wounds’. This is how nature is also linked to the texture of things, which changes under the influence of the environment.

We invite you to check out our new colour for the Wild Glass collection, made with 100% recycled glass and all the possibilities this has to offer. You can also get in touch with us about any ideas you may have for bottle design projects. We will guide you through the whole process to make your dream a reality.
