High-quality board, elegant design and skillful production were the ingredients used to create these impressive greetings cards on Sumo White.

The result is superb: the surface has been hot foil stamped, its four thick sides were edge gilded and each card in turn is presented within a minimal and refined envelope, realized with Prisma Favini Flux White 170gsm.

The creative agency Indicube, asked Happycentro to design this memorable season’s greetings card for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Happycentro a design studio in Verona invested plenty of energy into their research and testing, choosing to maximize the attributes of Sumo and the print processes selected.

The card, dedicated to a special season for the luxurious hotel, is unique.

To create it they chose Favini’s newest innovative product: Sumo white 3mm.

Sumo’s warm off white shade complements perfectly the gold foiling with its extra thickness highlighted by the edge gilding.

This board meets fully the requirements for this elegant and incisive design and is very well suited for the printing and finishing techniques used to create it.

The card is printed letterpress with debossing and hot foil Kurz Luxor® 418. On to Sumo’s soft surface texture and strong rigid structure is depicted Hong Kong’s memorable port skyline and architectural highlights, with the Mandarin Hotel unmissable in its position centre stage.

The card’s edges are then hot foil stamped gold on the amazing Sumo white 3mm board, giving the terrific and clean effect they were seeking.
