Due to FM Plast's location in the heart of the green Sauerland countryside, the company is perpetually aware of its business obligation to protect our shared resources and the environment. All investments into energy-efficient machinery are aggregated in the FM-Green Production line. With a new Green – Seal, the company has extended an initiative for the environment to an integral concept.

Sustainable Closures made from 100% recycled material

FM Plast wants to generate a new benefit to the valuable resource plastic waste – therefore we also offer our closures made from 100% recycled material. Of course, lower percentages are available as well. We sample new recyclates promptly and analyse availability, dimensional accuracy, conformities and price. We process post-industrial as well as post-consumer material in an increasing variety of colours. For the recyclates approved by us we can guarantee the reproducibility in production using the existing moulds as well as the dimensional accuracy of the closures.

Furthermore, we focus on the sustainable use of the raw materials:

• Thermoplastic materials are 100% recyclable.
• Plastic waste from the production is collected by type and recycled.

From the construction over the planning to the production – FM-Plast is a pioneer in the highest efficiency and sustainability: Our energy management system is certificated according to ISO 50001.

During construction, we focus especially on the optimum weight. This leads to:

• Shorter cycle times
• Reduced energy consumption
• Reduction of raw material

FM - Green Production line

For more than ten years we have aggregated all measures for the enhancement of our energy efficiency within our Green Productionline initiative. This includes among other things:

• Modern hot runner technology to reduce manufacturing waste
• Use of electric injection moulding machines with 30% less energy consumption
• Closed-loop water cooling system for the temperature control of the moulds
• Heating of the production and storage areas through waste heat utilisation
