In its 20th year, the Dallas 100™ Awards, presented by the SMU Cox Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship, recognized the fastest growing, privately held companies in the Dallas area. Fusion Packaging was on this year's distinguished list. The 100 winning companies combined generated sales of $6.8 billion in the past three years, grew average sales from 2007 to 2009 by 203 percent, and grew number of employees from 11,644 in 2007 to 20,793 in 2009.
“Despite the recession, the success of our company indicates that entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well at Fusion Packaging. We are honored to have been selected as part of this distinguished list of companies and hope it reflects our desire of continued growth,” says Derek Harvey, Co-CEO Fusion Packaging. “We simply refused to participate in the recession.” he added.
The top companies were recognized at an awards ceremony at the Meyerson Symphony Center November 17, with keynote speaker Carl Sewell, chairman of Sewell Automotive Companies. “This is one of the most fantastic groups of companies in our 20 years of awards. These businesses created more than 9,000 new jobs over the last two years. They are role models for our entire economy, and an inspiration regarding what is possible in a free enterprise economy” said Jerry White, director of the Caruth Institute.
