    History - General Group 

    • 1914, Toyo Fukusha-Shi Limited Partnership founded; production and sales of carbon paper begun.
    • 1960, Name changed to General Co., Ltd.
    • 1970, Company listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange, Second Section
    • 1980, Production and sales of thermal sensitive ribbons and thermal sensitive date foils begun.
    • 1990, General Imaging Technology (UK) Ltd. established.
    • 1991, Shiga Plant constructed. General OA Supplies Co., Ltd. established in Hong Kong. E&G Electronics (Shengzhen) Ltd. established in China.
    • 1999, Texas Imaging Supply Inc. established in the US.
    • 2001, Second Shiga factory and distribution center constructed. Qingdao General OA Supply Co., Ltd. established in China.
    • 2005, General Co., Ltd. reorganized; core business (production and sales of OA equipment supplies) transferred to General Technology Co., Ltd. IQ2392 inkjet cartridge for industrial printing released to market. Third Shiga factory constructed.
    • 2007, Manufacturing and sale of dye sublimation ribbons business transferred.
    • 2009, General Co., Ltd (formerly: General Supply Co., Ltd) started business as our parent company, at the same time the sales department in General Technology was transferred to General Co., Ltd. We General Technology was re-established and start as the manufacturing and development company.
    • 2010, General Technology Co., Ltd. is General Co., Ltd became a subsidiary.
    • 2011, General Co., Ltd is a General Technology Co., Ltd. to the merger, the new 'General Co., Ltd' was.General Nippon India Pvt.Ltd established in india.
    • 2015, From 5 May, 2015, IS Industries changes its name to ‘General Imaging (M) SDN. BHD.’.
