Gerresheimer is investing a mid-double-digit million Euro figure in the new plant in the North Macedonian capital of Skopje, an amount that is already included in the company’s medium-term investment plans. Gerresheimer increases revenues by 8.8% and successfully integrates Sensile Medical

The Gerresheimer Group increased revenues at constant exchange rates by 8.8% in the third quarter of 2018, from EUR 335.0m in the prior-year quarter to EUR 364.4m. This includes EUR 3.5m from Sensile Medical, which was acquired in July 2018. On an organic basis—meaning adjusted for exchange rate effects and Sensile Medical—revenues went up by 7.8% relative to the prior-year quarter.

Gerresheimer Tettau gets a new furnace for cosmetic glass

The Gerresheimer Group’s Tettau plant manufactures hundreds of millions of glass containers for the cosmetics industry every year. Two furnaces operate around the clock to supply the production lines with their hot raw material; the molten glass that is used to make diverse bottles and jars for perfumes, cosmetic creams and other beauty products. In June, the older of the two flint glass furnaces was replaced with a new, more powerful furnace and the plant’s production technology was upgraded.

At the PDA’s Universe of Pre-filled Syringes & Injection Devices Conference in Vienna on November 3 and 4, Bernd Zeiss of Gerresheimer and Yasuyuki Shiraishi of Taisei Kako will be talking about COP syringes in their presentation entitled "Prefillable COP Syringes – Growing Knowledge on System Performance and Properties" at the Austria Center Vienna conference room, 7.20 a.m. on November 4. Gerresheimer will acquire Centor – higher profitability expected

Gerresheimer AG, one of the leading partners to the pharma and healthcare industry worldwide, will further extend its pharmaceutical packaging business with the acquisition of Centor. Gerresheimer has reached an agreement with Nemera Development S.A. to acquire 100% of the share capital of Centor US Holding Inc. “Centor is the highly profitable market leader for plastic vials and closures in the prescription retail market. This is a perfect fit to extend our product offering from packaging of parenterals to the packaging of oral drugs in the US. We expect that this acquisition will increase shareholder value significantly,” said Uwe Röhrhoff, Chief Executive Officer of Gerresheimer AG.
