For the brand-new refillable ARMANI Code male fragrance, L’Oréal has chosen to trust g.pivaudran, expert in aluminium components, with the design of its guided magnetic fragrance cap collar.
With this new launch, Giorgio Armani and g.pivaudran are unveiling an audacious design with no fewer than seven assembled components. Thanks to its vast experience coupled with its advanced technological expertise, g.pivaudran has anodised the aluminium cap in intense black offering a sleek black shine, coupled with deep engraving of the Giorgio Armani monogram, on a magnificent cap.
A HUGELY AMBITIOUS LUXURY DESIGN
The wonderful magnetic open-close mechanism instantly spells out luxury. The magnetised guided technology which was patented in 2000, allows the monogram to showcase its sleek beauty in perfect alignment with the bottle.
An extremely precise design of all components was necessary to meet the requirements set out by Armani whilst adapting to the use of a screw-action pump.
“For this new collaboration between L’Oréal and g.pivaudran, particular attention was placed on user comfort when handling the lid whilst working on a subtle curved edge“
— outlined Marion Kergoat, Commercial Engineer at g.pivaudran.
Revisiting the codes of a range initially launched back in 2004, and in line with the sustainability commitments taken by Giorgio Armani, the bottle is both refillable and ecologically designed thanks to use of the first refillable 150ml bottle which allowed for savings in metal used of 67%.
For ARMANI Code, the major challenge of this large-scale luxury product launch was a huge success thanks to g.pivaudran in the use of a totally-controlled production process combined with high-speed assembly on a brand-new machine installed on the g.pivaudran premises in the Lot region of France. This is yet another demonstration of the expertise of the French firm in the luxury sector.
