FachPack in Nuremberg (September 29 - October 1, 2015) is among the most important European trade fairs for the packaging industry. At the fair, Greiner Packaging will showcase individual solutions from a single source and will demonstrate how inter-division synergies can be utilized in the best possible way.

Kremsmünster, September 2015. FachPack can look back on a long, successful history in this, the trade fair’s 36th year. With almost 1,500 exhibitors and around 35,000 trade visitors at its most recent fair, it is one of the leading fairs in Europe on packaging. This year, Greiner Packaging will also be using the opportunity to present its varied solutions to the international professionals in attendance. In Hall 5, Booth 5-319, visitors will get a look at the full-service offer of the packaging specialist. Aside from Greiner Packaging Divisions Kavo and Assistec, Cardbox Packaging will also be present at the booth; as part of the Greiner Packaging Group of Companies, it supplements the plastic packaging assortment with high-quality folding boxes. Cardboard-plastic combinations as well as the innovative Kavoblow technology of Greiner Packaging will be on display front and center at this year’s fair presentation.

Innovative technology for individual needs
Greiner Packaging Division Kavo is the expert in producing plastic bottles and containers as well as creating unique packaging advantages in the form of plastic bottles, containers, and seals. Visitors to FachPack will get a comprehensive look at the Division’s packaging solutions, with particular focus on solutions that can be realized with the innovative Kavoblow technology. Kavoblow is an advancement in injection stretch blow molding technology. Preforms are line-produced in multiple rows with Kavoblow, which then allows more production pieces to be made and for individual customer needs to be realized economically and efficiently within a shorter period. Kavoblow allows for the manufacture of packaging with non-round and off-center mouths as well as individual colors in many kinds of material. The high flexibility, greatly improved efficiency, and the resulting lower production costs compared with existing machine concepts are a milestone in the production of plastic hollow bodies. As a co-developer of Kavoblow, Greiner Packaging is an expert, constantly advancing the technology. Thus, in addition to mono-layer bottles, the latest developments will also make it possible in the future to create barrier packaging made of several layers (multi-barrier technology) using Kavoblow. The available combinations of materials are PET/PA and PP/EVOH. In combination with mbt, Kavoblow is raising food shelf life to a new level.

Customer-specific solutions for packaging & logistics
As a sourcing partner for businesses that use plastics, Greiner Packaging Division Assistec offers development, production, assembly, and service from a single source. Tailored, customer-specific solutions for packaging are the focus at the fair -- after all, the Division wins over customers with optimal packaging concepts that are individually produced for every need. Thin-walled blisters that can also be combined with cardboard elements are ideal packaging for smaller products, for example for the cosmetic or electronic industry. Thick-walled containers that can be manually as well as fully automatically loaded and unloaded, and twin sheet trays, are suitable for transporting components in-house as well as between customer and supplier. The product range of Greiner Assistec stands out, thanks to its good price-performance ratio.

High-quality enhancement for packaging
Cardboard-plastic combinations are more and more in demand as attractive and environmentally friendly packaging solutions. As part of the Greiner Packaging Group of Companies, Cardbox Packaging supplements the extensive assortment of plastic packaging with high-quality folding boxes and numerous enhancement possibilities. Many options in the food, and in particular in the confectionery industry, will be on central display at the fair. For the first time, Cardboard Packaging will also present a new six-pack packaging concept made of cardboard with which it hopes to win over beer producers in the future.
