Repackaging & Manufacturing Services

Often done in combination with relabeling, repackaging involves putting the product back into new packaging to reflect new standards or marketing trends. Re-manufacturing involves the partial rework of a finished product, often the result of a change in the product design, or a Quality Control issue discovered post-manufacture. Our service affords you the opportunity to ensure your clients are receiving product that meets your strict standards. Partial disassembly, reconfiguration, testing, part replacement, and reassembly are all aspects of re-manufacture.

Kitting

With kitting, individually separate but related items are grouped, packaged, and supplied together as one unit. The resulting unitized item is marketed and sold as a single unit creating a “Value Added” proposition that increases sales velocity and exposes your customers to a wider range of your product lines. Many of our clients use this approach to introduce new products, bundling them with high velocity SKUs that are well known and popular.

Light Manufacturing

In many cases Grimes Packaging Services can offer an alternative to using your own plant to create the final sale unit. Components sourced from multiple vendors can be brought together in our facility and assembled into the actual sales unit. Light assembly does not typically involve fabrication but may require adjustments to components to fit properly, bench testing, and other QC processes. Light assembly does not include “Hot Work” (welding, brazing, etc.) and is conducted only after a well-documented process is agreed upon.
