Responsible dealings with resources and our environment is of particular importance for us. Our company is situated in the heart of a charming countryside that is surrounded by meadows, forests and lakes. Every day, when looking out of the window, we can clearly see what has to be preserved and what we are campaigning for.
In order to achieve this, we apply three different levers:
We are consistently working on reducing the weight of our products. This is achieved by optimising the moulds, materials and processes. In so doing, valuable raw materials and energy are saved, thanks to the reduction of the transport weight. This is good for the environment and for our customers.
By utilising recycling goods, we can significantly reduce the primary production of polypropylene, and rejected products from the production re-enter the production once again via a special recycling procedure.
Today we are able to manufacture plastic buckets from virtually 100 % recycling material. Thanks to the product design, the continually increasing share of recycling materials as well as the energy-efficient production processes, another consequence of consistently decreasing the weight is the permanent reduction of groku’s CO2 emissions.
Groku has a certified energy management system. Due to this, it can measure and track its actions and decisions with even greater accuracy. In addition to this, the system also draws attention to areas that are in need of process improvements, and this in turn leads to sustainable environmentally-friendly improvements.
