Gruppo ASA, represented by its Chairman, Eng. Emilio Amati, participated in the Canmaker Summit in Lisbon. This yearly occasion gathers the protagonists of global industry in the field of metal packaging in a two-day event of meetings and presentations, which ends with the celebration of the best products manufactured by top-quality factories worldwide. The flagship company of San Marino industry won the first prize in the General Line category thanks to the innovation introduced in the process of application of the hook bolt on the cover of metal cans.

ASA introduced the application of fast-drying glue instead of welding the hook bolt to the cover, which during the passage of the electric charge may cause problems to the paint coating and protecting the inside part of the cans for olive oil. ASA took part in the event and won with the packaging of two of its clients who produce olive oil: TRASIMENO (Lazio) and MONTALBANO (Tuscany).

Chairman Amati said: ‘This strongly wished acknowledgement rewards the commitment towards innovation which animates Gruppo ASA and its technicians. It bears witness of the continuous efforts which the company makes every day to meet clients’ needs. This prize is for all our 480 associates, with whom I want to share this moment of great satisfaction”.
