HS Plastic, a Chinese manufacturer of cosmetic packaging for major brand cosmetic firms, has just released a new lip-gloss case that features two small yet powerful LED lights that illuminate the tip of the applicator.  The two part lip-gloss kit, as most others comprises an applicator (including brush) and a reservoir.  The lights are ingeniously mounted on the bottom surface of the applicator handle, ensuring the light is focused directly on the tip of the brush.

The addition of the lights isn’t a simple gimmick designed to lure in early-adopters and technophiles, the added illumination allows the consumer to perfectly define and shape the make-up on the lips without unwanted shadows getting in the way.

Most female night-dwellers (even those that are occasional visitors) have been in a situation at least once where it was too dark to apply lip-gloss - in a taxi on the way to a party, in a restaurant bathroom with poor illumination, arriving at a dinner by car  - and have had to make due with a combination of guesswork and gymnastics in the form of turning the head about frantically looking for a ray of light being emitted by a streetlamp.  The LED light is powerful enough to allow the consumer to accurately apply the right amount without extraordinary measures, even in total darkness (assuming there’s a mirror available - which is why the company offers the option of including a mirrored surface on one of the sides of the case itself).

Made of tough and resistant material, the case comes with a small built-in battery strong enough to last throughout the product’s usage, from first to last application where it can be thrown into the recycling bin.

Measuring approximately 11cm in total (applicator and reservoir together), the lip-glss case is big enough to hold a fair amount of product yet small enough to fit into just about any purse.
