The Young Designers Award Competition showcases the extraordinary and emerging talents of packaging and design students at the college level. Our goal is to encourage, foster, and develop future leaders in the packaging design industry.

Each year, ICMAD invites art and design schools across the country to participate in Young Designers.

The Competition is a curriculum-based program that encourages faculty to integrate it with their coursework or offer it to students as extra credit. Students have two months to design a label and outer packaging for a stock cosmetic bottle they are provided. The top 15 designs from each participating school are then judged by a panel of six industry professionals in January.
