ICONS|ICS Launches Sustainable Metal–Free & Mono-Material Pumps

At ICONS|ICS we continue to see a steady demand for beauty packaging where form meets function and sustainability. We also see a high demand for packaging that help consumers embrace "skinimalism" trends – they don’t want wasteful and gimmicky products.

This means more brands are launching multi-purpose, hybrid formulations as more consumers adopt a "less is more" lifestyle. This is resulting in an increase in demand for metal-free and mono-material pumps, in both airless and diptube pump styles.

At ICONS|ICS we have recently launched several sustainable metal–free and mono-material pump innovations, including our patented PP pump, our mono-material PP diptube pump and metal–free airless pump family.

Our patented PP pump has a 24/410 neck size and can be paired with a wide range of bottles shapes, sizes, and materials. What is unique about this pump is its in-mold matte collar and actuator, with the option of incorporating PP PCR. This enables brands to achieve a premium feel without compromising the environment. It was also designed with a convenient twist lock mechanism and a 0.2cc dosage, perfect for a wide range of skin, body, and hair care formulas.

The airless metal-free PP pump is available in 3 sizes (15, 30, 50ml) and has a TPE or silicon spring. Brands can add PP PCR in the overcap, actuator, collar, and bottle for added sustainability. While our mono-material PP diptube pump can be paired with a wide range of bottles with a neck size of 24/410 and 28/410. It is available with either a smooth or ribbed collar and comes in various actuator styles. In terms of sustainability, this pump is 100% PP and can add PP PCR in the collar and actuator, making it both recycled and recyclable.
