API is leading the way in the creative development of highly visual packaging solutions for brands, with the launch of its new API Trends Folio at LUXE PACK Monaco this September.
Curated by David Peters, API’s Creative Development Manager, the Folio aims to act as a source of inspiration for packaging designers, agencies and of course brand owners. David has over 20 years’ experience within the luxury and packaging sectors, covering design, production and branding across his various roles and brings his insight, together with examples of the latest techniques, to the Trends Folio.
”Many of our team come from design and packaging backgrounds and so we understand how creatives and agencies appreciate a helping hand in regard to identifying the latest trends. Our new API Trends Folio has been designed to inspire – setting out the trends we expect to see within the industry, providing background and examples to help leave a long lasting impression” said David.
API’s Trends Folio explores 4 key trends in detail – from Digital with its contrast of digital & analogue technologies, to the visual detail and proximity within Pause, there is something for brands and clients new and old.
“Since it is the premier show for creative packaging, we chose LUXE PACK Monaco as the ideal event to launch our API Trends Folio,” continued David. “We are really proud of its launch and look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand and informing them about the latest packaging trends that empower luxury and premium brands.”
Also taking inspiration from the key trend Second Skin, API’s latest engraved laminate is to be seen on the front cover of the luxury packaging magazine ‘Formes de Luxe’, following on from the sophisticated API designs created in previous years. This new design combines the latest liquid engraved effects with registered pint, and provides a stunning example of the impact API’s laminates and brand enhancement products can have.
“We want API’s Trends Folio to be a working document for designers and creatives and so will be updating it throughout the year with the latest macro-trends and creative uses of foils, films and laminates as they are launched within the market. And with a new version to be produced each year, we hope that it will become an event that people really look forward to!’ concluded David.
