About us
With a turnover of 675 million euros, sales of around 500,000 tons of paper and 1.800 employees, the Koehler Paper Group is one of the few independent German companies in the paper industry.
We use state-of-the-art technology to produce paper for you at four locations. Our head office in Oberkirch and plants in Kehl, Greiz and Weisenbach.
Quality
Applying our Management-System methodically and consistently ensures ongoing improvement. This is supported by our team of auditors made up of people from various areas of the company.
Tasks of the auditor team:
- Assist in and coordinate the development of the Management System
- Provide points of contact and services for the divisions and departments in the event of problems and queries relating to operational procedures
- Preparing and executing internal audits
- Participating in external audits
- Creating cross-divisional transparency
- Completing tasks set out by the Board

The long list of environmental awards which Koehler has accumulated over the years for its responsible treatment of the countryside documents our high conservation standards, as does our certification to DIN EN ISO 14001:2009.

The Koehler-Management-System
Our strength is in our willingness to change continuously. At Koehler, business processes and system procedures are constantly being re-assessed. One of the powerful instruments which we use is the integrated Koehler-Management-System.
This tool makes use of internationally recognized standards in order to increase efficiency of the quality, occupational health and safety, environment, and IT security.
Our company has been quality certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1993, and in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 since 2007. In conservation we are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 : 2009, and in the field of data privacy in accordance with DIN EN ISO 27001:2005. For occupational health and safety we are certificated in compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007.
