ISO 27001 Certification

ISO 27001 is a security management standard that specifies security management best practices and comprehensive security controls following the ISO 27002 best practice guidance. This is a widely-recognised international security standard in which our customers showed significant interest. Certification in the standard requires us to:

• Systematically evaluate our information security risks, taking into account the impact of company threats and abilities
• Design and implement a comprehensive suite of information security controls and other forms of risk management to address company and architecture security risks
• Adopt an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls meet the our information security needs on an ongoing basis

The key to the ongoing certification under this standard is the effective management of a rigorous security program. The Information Security Management System (ISMS) required under this standard defines how we perpetually manage security in a holistic, comprehensive way. The ISO 27001 certification is specifically focused on the ISMS and measures how our internal processes follow the ISO standard. Certification means a third party accredited independent auditor has performed an assessment of our processes and controls and confirms they are operating in alignment with the comprehensive ISO 27001 certification standard.

ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification

ISO 9001 certification is a primary public and private sector purchasing requirement. The standard specifies requirements for a quality management system where organisations wish to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements. ISO 9001 also provides the framework to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement and the assurance of conformity to customer requirements and all internal processes to achieve this.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification

Developed and published by ISO (the International Standards Organisation) the ISO 14001 standard specifies requirements for organisations who wish to achieve and demonstrate sound environmental performance by controlling the impact of their activities, products or services on the environment by implementing an environmental management system.

At kpm we do our best to minimise any possible effects our activities could have on the environment. Working closely with our suppliers and waste companies we ensure that all materials such as plastics, toners and papers are either recycled or safely disposed of.

At kpm we offer a comprehensive range of enclosing and finishing services. Our finishing department provides an essential range of services such as multiple fold options, perforating, scoring, booklet making and trimming.

Our mailing machines are equipped with both multi channel camera reading for the matching of up to three personalised items and single channel reading with in line nesting and folding for variable page input for where paginations can vary between records. By using interchangeable feeders we can insert a large number of ancillary items such as CD’s, open edge leaflets and cards, and able to enclose up to 8 items at once or selectively.

Where required we use our cameras to read single items such as vouchers or tickets to help with reconciliation. All enclosed output is manually checked for sealing quality and address position prior to release.

For a number of reasons automated enclosing is not always an option. Our dedicated team of bench workers are experts in the enclosing of commercial, financial and shareholder related communications. The same strict audit controls and quality checking are carried out to ensure total pack integrity. The use of bench workers is dictated by the size and makeup of a pack such as poly bagging, pick and pack, tabbing, glue dotting and hand finishing. With a large hand fulfilment and warehouse area we are able to accommodate the most bulky of mailings, even 20,000 hair dryers mailed and 110,000 chocolate bars involving our bench workers making up flat boxes, inserting a foam inner, a chocolate bar, letter and then seal the box with a tab and then label and prepare for TNT. These mailings were done on behalf of two national newspapers which meant delivery deadlines were crucial.

With a bench capacity able to insert up to 100k C4 packs per day it can also be used in conjunction with the machine capacity to achieve those deadlines that seem unachievable.

With the combination of the latest high speed printing technology we can produce a vast array of generic and personalised full colour and mono documents quickly and to a consistent high standard. Our print centre is equipped with the latest mono and colour digital printers, giving a daily print capacity of 0.5million A4 images. In addition to in-line capabilities such as stab stitching, drilling and booklet making we can accept variable page sizes up to 355mm x 487mm and paper weights from 60gsm to 350gsm covering most paper stocks. By making the most of the printer functionality we can offer very competitive rates on both mono and colour printing.

Our colour and mono printers demonstrate exceptional quality and are perfect for taking advantage of full variable data driven applications either on their own or as part of multi channel marketing.

We aim to provide proofs quickly and without fuss, by keeping all our departments inter connected we are able to produce proofs at exceptional speeds. All printed items are fully tracked and reconciled throughout the production cycle to ensure that every document is verified and accounted for.

As well as our conventional digital printing and inkjet, we also provide in house thermal card printing that is ideal for membership applications. With the ability also print in white, colour or black, we can either print and personalise your card in one pass or print on to your supplied cards in any colour.

However complex the project, kpm will deliver fast and accurate results every time. Unlike most mailing houses we do not employ data processors reliant only on third party software to provide the solutions. With a policy of employing programmers with proven track records within all our sectors we are not restricted by limitations often imposed by using those third party packages, however, a blend of bespoke programming and industry software such as PReS we retain total control over data manipulation and document composition.

Our complete range of in house and bureau data services ensures your data is as up to date and complete as possible. By screening against lists such as MPS, gone aways, deceased and PAF you will be certain to maximise the impact of your data and avoid the waste of costly material. We conducted some surveys of our own to determine the effect bad data has on building or maintaining customer connections, a staggering 68% agreed that poorly or incorrectly addressed unsolicited correspondence either received electronically or by post would be discarded immediately.

By offering flexibility through in house services we can provide solutions that are tailored to you. Following submission we can quickly provide detailed reports on your data and give our recommendations on improving the quality if required or if you just provide confirmation that the data supplied is correct. Your project may require complicated geographical splits, simultaneous file processing, creation of look up tables, image processing, calculations or just a straight forward data file and letter text, however complex or simple your requirements our programmers will make it happen.

As well as offering our own heavily discounted postal rates with all the major postal providers we are happy to act on behalf of the customer and deal with their chosen postal provider.
