Libo Cosmetics, one of China's premier manufacturers of cosmetic packaging solutions for the beauty and personal care markets, has released a new design style for its plastic compacts, featuring a parchment layer under transparent plastic on the lid which can be custom decorated or purchased directly with the company's tasteful default pattern (an embedded Japanese maple leaf).

The addition of the layer, in a thick-fibre, irregular parchment, creates an immediate link to a bygone era replete with simple elegance.  The underlying materials, however, are cutting edge - lightweight and shatter-proof plastic, with a large surface area underneath for decoration.

Available is a variety of sizes, the new compacts offer packaging purchasers an interesting option to distinguish themselves on marketplace shelves.  The look can conform to just about any style, from a clean and minimal Asian motif to an antique European design all the way through to an ancient Egyptian tone.  The feeling really depends on the needs of the client and what might be required with regard to fitting in the package into an existing line.
