The recent 7th edition of MakeUp in Paris – which brings to 18 the total number of "MakeUp In" events organised worldwide since the first edition in 2010 at Espace Pierre Cardin on the Champs Elysees – will no doubt go down in history as one of the best ever. It attracted over 3,500 visitors in just two days and more than 1,700 conference attendees, figures never before reached. All the keys for success were present, in other words a very busy, very "pro" show of increasingly international scope (29% foreign visitors), a clearly not-to-be-missed occasion!
Last Thursday and Friday, the crème de la crème of the global professional make-up industry arranged to meet at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. Crowds began forming at ten in the morning! Hundreds of visitors, barely containing their patience. From the first minute, it was clear this 7th Parisian edition would be a great year. And the hours that followed simply confirmed this.
It has to be said, all the ingredients necessary were assembled to make this big professional make-up celebration a success. Starting with the sheer quality and diversity of the one hundred and fifty exhibitors having travelled from the four corners of the globe. Not forgetting the wide range of associated special events, including the superbe From Perfume to Make-up exhibition as well as the Innovation Tree within its 18 winners which drew the attention of visitors.
The Digital Beauty area which was positioned cleverly at the entrance of the trade show literally fascinated new-technology enthusiasts. Also enthralling was the booth dedicated to sustainable development sponsored by Chanel Parfums et Beauté and its award-winning products chosen by students of the Esepac and Isipca schools. Without forgetting the jam-packed conference programme, involving 19 conferences and 44 speakers who took it in turns to address packed rooms, reaching record audience figures of 1,700 participants in two days!

In the image of its sister events in New York, Sao Paulo, Seoul and Los Angeles, MakeUp in Paris once again nailed it! Preferring quality over quantity with the aim of always excelling, adding that little "extra" touch that makes the difference. This year, these little touches were clear immediately on entering the event thanks to the new Digital Beauty area. A little further on, the sustainable development booth also drew crowds. MakeUPainting was as successful as ever, and the models in the MakeUParade wearing make-up imagined by the SLA Academy, Morgane Hilgers and Atelier Maquillage schools contributed again to the festivities.
All "MakeUp In" teams worldwide abide by the same watchword: "quality". Exhibitors and visitors both say so, and their ongoing loyalty, year after year, proves it. So well done and our thanks to all. Every visitor, exhibitor, partner, service provider, Beauteam team member and speaker contributed in their own way to helping this 7th Parisian edition and 18th global edition of "MakeUp In" pass another milestone in its history... on its way to the top!
