On September 18th and 19th, we demonstrated how easily and reliably recyclable spouted pouches can be produced with the compact SPM 50 from SN Maschinenbau GmbH. Our sustainable solution, which includes recyclable mono-material films from SÜDPACK Group and high-quality spouts from MENSHEN, provides maximum process reliability and quality assurance.

All of the experts in one place took advantage of the exclusive opportunity to learn more about the overall concept – including a film, spout, and packaging technology – for in-house production. Everyone also enjoyed the insight into modern film production at SÜDPACK’s site in Ochsenhausen. The spouts from MENSHEN are based on a recyclable mono-material solution and can be optimally connected to the pouches.

Menshen Mono-material Wing Closures

Wing closures for Menshen client COROOS have been designed to enhance safety and environmental sustainability. COROOS is well known for its preservation of fruits, vegetables, and pulses, as well as its flexible packaging. In 2008, they launched their first squeeze pouches in the European market. The new wing closure uses 25% less material than its previous version, resulting in a plastic saving of over 100,000 kg and an annual CO2 saving of over 200,000 kilograms.
