Primarily known for serving the agrochemical and chemical industries, one of Metalchimica’s first patents was for a double-barrier COEX container that keeps “aggressive” materials stable and pure. Metalchimica has gone on to successfully design and manufacture containers for top brands in the cosmetics/personal care, phrama/medical, food, military, and household products industries.
Today, Metalchimica continues to innovate, especially when it comes to the environmental impact of its operations. Currently, through the use of solar and cogeneration, 80% of the energy Metalchimica uses for manufacturing comes from renewable sources. In 2016 Metalchimica received the Horizon 2020 award for developing 100% biodegradable plastic packaging.
