Mold Rite's EZ-Grip and EZ-Safe

The world is designed for the average person. The average person, though, is a mature adult in relatively good health. The largest two groups that do not fall into this category are seniors and children, both of which have specific limitations when it comes to interacting with product packaging. For seniors, reduced dexterity is often an issue with regard to getting to a product whereas with children, the opposite is true, their access needs to be limited, especially with regard to medications.

This is the primary motivation behind Mold Rite Plastics' release of the EZ-Grip and EZ-Safe closure family.

The EZ-Grip is designed to offer consumers with reduced dexterity, seniors in particular, a simple and efficient means of opening and closing a medication jar. Part of the company's Continuous Thread line of closures, the EZ-Grip provides consumers with an easy to use solution to the problem of not being able to get to medication or other products. The large, evenly nubbed closure is much easier to grip than average screw top closures. Seniors, people with manual impairments, and others can get to what they need when they need.

great for seniors,
not usable by kids

The EZ-Safe closure goes just a bit further. It offers the ease of use of the EZ-Grip combined with an innovative CRC (or child resistant closure) feature. The closure is, therefore, perfect for older consumers that have little ones about with frequency and don't want to have them getting into things that may be unsafe.

Both the EZ-Grip and EZ-Safe ranges offer a fair height, such that the recess on the interior of the closure may be used to house printed inserts that offer product information, coupons, or marketing materials. Each of the closures is fully customizable with regard to colouring and size, and can be used in conjunction with liners if required. Quantities for shipment run from a reasonable MOQ all the way up to massive runs. The closures do not require that machinery undergo special recalibration and thus can be integrated into existing lines without a fuss.
