The Swiss medical technology company credentis ag, based in Windisch, launched a special dental product range in October 2013: the Curodont range. The Polyfoil tube from Neopac won the contract for Curodont Protect Gel. It consists of the products Curodont Repair and Curodont Protect, specially developed for in-depth mineralization to protect teeth.

Studies have shown that the Polyfoil Tube from Neopac protects the Curodont Protect formulation reliably against oxygen, light and water vapor. Via the nozzle, the gel can be simply applied to the polisher of the dentist or to the tooth. The product is distributed to dentists in Switzerland and Germany.

In Autumn 2012, Michael Hug from credentis ag evaluated the suitable packaging for the second Product of the Curodont line. The findings from the development of Curodont Repair have shown that the matrix is stable only in glass. With this knowledge, different packaging materials were evaluated, which are designed to protect the new formulation Curodont Protect.

Hug said: "For our choice of the package it was important that the particular formulation is stable in the packaging and the product is easy to use by dentists. The gel should be applied on the tooth with as few losses as possible. From all tested packagings, just the Polyfoil tube convinced, because it protects the formulation, corresponds with the intended design and allowed a rapid market launch".

“We worked with Neopac for the first time and were very satisfied. We were impressed by the consultation on choosing suitable packaging, the tests and on-time delivery of the tubes. The company is committed to innovation and understands its customers,” said Hug.

About credentis ag: The Swiss medtech company credentis ag was founded by Dominik Lysek in 2010. It is based in Windisch and it develops innovative, regenerative medical products for dental application. With Curodont Repair credentis ag launched the first in-depth mineralization product for the treatment of tooth decay without drilling. The Curodont line was completed in spring 2013 with Curodont Protect that provides efficient protection against acid and sensitivity.
Both products are based on the Curlox technology. Curlox is the first organic biomatrix that can solve various intelligent dental problems in various places because of their affinity to tooth mineral / calcium phosphate and its plasticity.

Curodont Protect, the product in the tube, is applied by dentists or dental hygienists after professional tooth cleaning or bleaching. The formulation protects the enamel and dentin and is very safe for patients. It re-mineralizes the tooth structure and helps quickly to desensitize sensitive teeth. The Swiss medtech company combines the most modern chemical research, the latest knowledge of oral biology and experience in developing medical products with an outstanding network of scientists and opinion leaders in the dental field.
