Label&Print, which returns to Birmingham’s NEC on 27 & 28 February 2019, will offer visitors an exclusive look at the future of the industry, showcasing the very latest products, services and technologies available to the packaging community. From leading sellers and manufacturers of print and labelling equipment, through to designing, branding and finishing experts, it is the must attend event in any packaging professional’s calendar.

With innovation at the heart of the show, many of the suppliers will be launching their new solutions to the UK market. For example, AM Labels will debut its new range of printers that incorporates the latest digital LED technology with an efficient design, offering speed, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Astro Nova will be showcasing its new CMYKW printer - the first of its kind in the industry. The new technology harnesses a digital 5-colour toner which prints with a 1200 dpi resolution and allows direct printing onto coloured materials, such as black polyester and silver paper. The company will also be exhibiting its QL-300 toner-based 5-colour desktop label printer.

Renz UK will be launching its Argos Solutions F400 Cold UV Coating Machine to the UK market. This new machine offers a cost-effective and eco-alternative to plastic laminating by utilising a thin layer of liquid coating to protect and enhance printed sheets. It provides a completely plastic-free solution which will save thousands of tonnes of lamination film being disposed of every year.

AG/CAD will be showcasing its state of the art DYSS X5 digital cutter and sheet feeder which features the latest K-CUT Vision software. The high-quality, lightning-fast X5 machine has been designed specifically to handle all prototyping, sample making and short/medium board converters.

Also exhibiting at Label&Print 2019 is Skanem UK, which will show its brand-new Magic Code labels, alongside its new portfolio of Smart and Intelligent labels, which offer NFC, RFID and QR codes. The new labels offer the same interactive elements as other smart labels on the market but at a more commercially viable cost.

The Label Makers will be using the show to exhibit a selection of product developments. Taking centre stage on the stand will be it’s award-winning, reverse printed back label for Portobello Road Navy Gin.

Dantex will display its latest innovation, the PicoJet digital UV inkjet press, alongside its already popular PicoColour Digital Press.

Following its recent release, HYBRID Software will be showcasing its latest innovation in variable data print technology for the popular PACKZ and Cloudflow range of native PDF products. The PACKZ VDP module allows any element of a label or pack to be variable whilst in the prepress environment. Elements can then be linked with the variable data supplied as a CSV file, allowing results to be seen live before creating a PDF output file. This latest technology increases productivity by saving time during the printing process.

As the only ink manufacturer exhibiting at the show, Pulse Roll Label Products will be unveiling its flagship UV flexo ink system which offers high colour strength and colour consistency. Live PureTone colour matching demos will be taking place on-stand, providing visitors with the opportunity to see how label printers can achieve optimal print quality first-hand. Pulse Roll will also be displaying the latest additions to its product portfolio, the PureTone Food Packaging Compliant (FPC) UV flexo inks and the PureFinish FPC UV flexo varnishes and adhesives, which are suitable for non-direct food packaging and labelling application.

In addition to these brands and innovations, Label&Print will also welcome a host of major names, including Esko, Lemorau, Videojet Technologies, Etiq’étains, Fangda Packaging, Codeology, Olympus Print Group, Konica Minolta, Siltech, Denny Bros, Label Apeel, Domino, Newcode Partnership, Vivid Laminating Technologies, Abbey Labels, CS Labels, Epson, Sakurai Graphic Systems, Impression Technology, Laser Lines, IST, Graphtec, and Lundberg Tech, many of whom will also be using the show as the launchpad for new products.

James Drake-Brockman, Divisional Director of Easyfairs’ Packaging Portfolio, comments: “Our aim for the show is, as always, to display the latest developments in packaging technology, so it’s fantastic to see so many product launches planned for the show. With such a variety of innovations in the label and print market on display, there is sure to be something for everyone.”
