Five master’s students from Stuttgart Media University (HdM) are carrying out research for Papierfabrik Scheufelen and helping the company to further develop the “phoenolux” packaging board.

As part of their master’s thesis, five students from Stuttgart Media University (HdM) are working closely with Papierfabrik Scheufelen.

They are using their packaging, marketing and design knowledge to help Scheufelen to further develop the high-quality “phoenolux” packaging board.

The students on the Packaging, Design & Marketing course are thus being prepared during their master’s thesis for the demands of their subsequent professional careers.

The partnership offers significant potential for both parties, as the cooperation agreement creates a binding framework for carrying out joint research and development projects.

As part of study assignments, theses and semesters spent on practical placements, the students can feed their combined academic expertise into the company’s development processes while also learning about everyday working life in the packaging industry.

Horst Lamparter, Director Sales and Marketing at Scheufelen, knows how important these types of partnerships are for everyone involved: “Cooperation between universities and companies is key to the performance of our economy and society, as students can only go on to unlock their full potential if they are given the best possible support and preparation for starting their careers during their studies.”
