Specialist packaging solutions provider, Parkside, has been shortlisted for four prestigious UK Packaging Awards across three different categories, recognising its revolutionary packaging developments.
The company has been nominated in the highly competitive ‘Best Packaging of a New Product’ category for its home compostable pack for coffee manufacturer SIPP, designed to break down in a home compost bin within 26 weeks, meeting ongoing consumer demand for sustainable packaging solutions.
In addition, the company has also been shortlisted in the ‘Resource Efficient Pack of the Year’category for both its natural, sustainable cereal inner liner for Alara Wholesome Foods Ltd. and its bio-based packaging for start-up brand Wallaroo’s range of healthy snacks for kids.
Furthermore, the Wallaroo pack has been recognised in the ‘Innovation of the Year’ category and facesdirect competition from the likes of Graphic Packaging International and BoxMart.

Organised annually by Packaging News, the UK Packaging Awards celebrate the very best products and achievements from across the packaging industry. This year’s judging panel includes leading industry experts from Heineken, Marks & Spencer, The Packaging Federation and Mars Wrigley Confectionary.
The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on October 30, 2018. Regarded as the highlight of the packaging industry calendar, the event is expected to attract over 800 attendees from across the packaging supply chain.
