PRAD's history began in 1972 when Gérard and Marie-Anne Béranger created the company. Initially the company's business involved decorating perfume bottle stoppers and cosmetics jars.

At the instigation of a customer, PRAD developed metallization varnishes for glass and became a specialist in glass metallization. Aware of the creative and industrial advantages offered by varnishing glass bottles, Gérard Béranger invented Glass Lacquering during the 1980s.

This innovation was concretized by the launch of Rose Cardin, the fist line of lacquered bottles for a select perfume. In 1998, NINA RICCI perfumes entrusted PRAD with producing the complete decoration for the perfume Deci Delà consisting of lacquering in several colors and raised image screen printing, a new innovation developed by PRAD.

By successively incorporating the different printing techniques, PRAD thus offers a wide range of organic finishing processes.
Always interested in developing its know-how thanks to useful and environmentally-friendly technologies, PRAD produced another innovation in 2009 by inventing the METALIGHT® process, which gives metalized coatings all the possible transparency and gradation effects in glossy or satin finish and in a vast array of colors.

Since 1995, the company has been directed by Eric and Marie-Line Béranger, President, head of the commercial and administrative aspects of the company, and General Manager in charge of plant management, respectively.
