Quadpack has established a platform to consolidate its logistic operations. With a global network of sourcing offices and suppliers, the new centre will receive, process and despatch all shipments in and out of Europe. The new strategy will avoid underfilled containers, increase efficiency, speed up deliveries, cut transportation costs and reduce the group’s carbon footprint.
Based in the port of Barcelona, the centre will represent a central logistics hub for the whole Quadpack Group. Quadpack has offices in 11 countries and a network of manufacturing partners that spans the globe.
“The new centre will enable us to achieve greater efficiencies and a better service for our clients,” said Quadpack CEO Tim Eaves. “A company such as ours relies heavily on transport services. Now, we have a single platform, manned by dedicated staff, running all of our logistics worldwide. The benefits are clear: homogenised procedures, optimised shipments, an additional level of quality control and a single point of contact for our suppliers and clients.”
The Quadpack Logistics Centre is located at ZAL (Logistics Activity Zone), Av Ports d’Europa, 08040 Barcelona, Spain.
