Rieke, in collaboration with Madel Spa, has introduced an eco-friendly pouch designed to reduce carbon footprint and increase recyclability.

The company's group of technicians and engineers developed a packaging solution capable of reducing the amount of plastic in the final product. Rieke’s new technology offers the opportunity to create caps with a low amount of plastic. By allowing the cap to be molded in a monopolymer (polypropylene or high-density polyethylene), the final packaging item becomes entirely recyclable.

The pouch cap, when paired with the 1000ml laminated bag, allows for an 82% reduction in plastic compared to packaging of the same format. Furthermore, using the same material for both the bag and the cap ensures complete recyclability of the plastic components.

Rieke’s pouch fitment cap features a lightweight design with an innovative setup to provide optimal grip performance. It is ideal for refill packaging and on-the-go products, and is available in HDPE and PP for innovative recyclable materials.
