Robinson Packaging has developed a range of custom moulded, tamper-evident bowls and lids, for the re-launch of Asda’s Health Range of chilled ready meals.

The project to develop the 500ml and 900ml packs had a demanding time constraint with no margin for error, as Asda Health is an existing range that is sold across all Asda stores. Working closely with Asda’s manufacturing partner, Robinsons Commercial and Technical teams ensured that each stage gate was met and that the project was successfully delivered ahead of plan.

Manufactured in clear PP, the Injection Moulded packs help to create a more premium feel, incorporating Laser Engraved branding on the lid. The built-in tamper evident feature offers consumers confidence in the pack’s integrity.

Product Development Manager for Asda, Georgina Chamings, said: “The re-launch of this range has been very well received in store and we’re seeing more customers shopping the range. The introduction of a tamper evident clear Injection Moulded bowl has helped to increase the quality perception of the Asda Health range. The clarity of the pack is also very important, as it allows our customers to easily see the quality fresh ingredients that we use in the meals”.
