A British Brand Shines Brightest When Supply is Local

Europe, UK, Ireland, Beauty, Personal Care, Christmas, Jars - Candle, Secondary Packaging, Secondary Boxes, Cases

Neom has fast become one of the best-known wellness brands in the UK and the Middle East. It specialises in luxury candles, bath, body and skincare products and essential oils. Its range can be found in some of the world’s leading luxury hotels as well as major retailers including John Lewis, Selfridges and Fenwick.

As a British brand itself, Neom is keen to develop synergies with other homegrown talents. It chose to work with Robinson primarily for two key reasons: the flexibility we offer in our supply, and our long-held experience and credibility for developing sustainable products.

Flexibility and speed of supply

We deliver several added value benefits in our partnership with Neom.

It’s often the case that decisions and artwork for Christmas campaigns need to be agreed upon as early as January when dealing with suppliers in the Far East. Even then, it can be hard to predict demand as it’s often too early for retail partners to commit to specific volumes.

Our enviable turnaround time of two weeks from receipt of artwork to product completion means that Neom can defer its decision-making on Christmas volumes until the early Summer! This improves time efficiency by nearly 90% when compared to sourcing from the Far East and allowing for the subsequent 16-week period for ocean transportation.

Added to that, it combats any issues related to ordering too much or too little.

Ordering packaging in bulk from the outset, of course, derives significant economies of scale. It is, however, not always suitable where the customer has limited space.

Neom is one of several of our customers who take advantage of our extensive stockholding facilities. It means they always have a ready supply at their fingertips should retailer or consumer demand require a rapid response, but without having to commit to storing large volumes of the packaging itself.

Driving sustainability

All Neom products are derived from sustainable paper resources, either natural or naturally derived and, where possible, organic.

Sustainable packaging with recyclability and maximum recycled content is a collective goal for both Robinson and Neom, taking our packaging to the highest circular level.  Over twelve months, Neom’s goal is to remove excess outer packaging from over 70,000 products, as well as removing all non-recyclable components and packaging from all its products.

We are able to deliver on this through our long-standing commitment to only using rigid paperboard comprising 100% post-consumer recycled material, and that is fully recyclable.

With our base in Chesterfield situated locally to Neom’s operation in Harrogate, we’ve been able to respond to such new product development demands with agility, delivering samples on new projects within a 24-hour period.

We’re at an exciting stage of our partnership with Neom and look forward to supporting their next generation of products.

“The breadth of Neom’s wellness range means we have a requirement for a range of packaging solutions whether that be shoulder boxes, boxes and lids, folding cartons or clam shells. In Robinson, we have found a supplier in whom we can place an absolute trust; not only in reacting quickly to demand but also in creating beautiful, sustainable packaging that perfectly complements our values as a British business of excellence.”
