RPC Astrapak Thermopac has retained their BRC status after a recent audit was conducted at their Western Cape plant. The audit result translated to an AA rating although the final score is to be verified by SAI Global (auditing firm).
This is an incredible achievement and one that the management team and entire staff can be incredibly proud of. RPC Astrapak Thermopac General Manager Craig Matthews sent particular congratulations to Crystal Chandler, the plant’s Quality Manager, who headed up the team and process to retain this very important accreditation for the business. He states “her long hours, incredible commitment and ability to stick to the task is legendary within Thermopac and she can be so proud of all the hard work, as well as her outstanding leadership over this time.”
The retention of the accreditation was an important building block on the road to ensuring RPC Astrapak Thermopac continues to grow in the right direction. “The entire team can start 2018’s journey knowing that a very important box has been ticked,” said Matthews.
Crystal Chandler said: “To have effective processes in place is a massive contribution to ensuring a smooth-running audit. It adds to our confidence when you know that everything is in place. The challenges were immense, but the staff did an amazing job to combat the obstacles we faced! I must say this was teamwork beyond comprehension, so I would like to thank everyone involved, from management right through to the cleaners.”
Crystal acknowledged Craig Matthews for his commitment and leadership. “He has great confidence in us to do our jobs to the best of our ability. Thank you for leading by example, because this motivates us to do our best,” she said.
RPC Astrapak CEO Robin Moore said, “The team has done a fantastic job given all the headwinds and distractions that they have faced surrounding lack of water in the Western Cape and the polymer shortage. The team at Thermopac has set a great example to the business of how to operate in adversity and how to take responsibility back into the business – ‘Impossible is Nothing’ as the advert says! Congratulations!”
