Who is Sate?
SATE is currently one of the leading constructors in the world of automatic lines for the production of coated boxes. Founded in 1956, this year it celebrates 60 years of inventions that have allowed a great part of box and packaging producers to grow in time. It was Quintilio Santini himself who over half a century ago built the first semiautomatic machine for coating rigid cardboard boxes, the “NATALINA” model.
Santini’s zeal and inventive resulted in the construction of the renowned automatic lines with double-backers, which, for dozens of years, have led the shoe-box industry. Another memorable fact is that in 1972 Quintilio Santini built the first centraliser for moving conveyor belts, making it possible to place the assembled cardboard box on the glued paper sheet, thus completing the productive line.
Their on-going investments allowed SATE to obtain the record for innovation by manufacturing the first electronic coating machine with automatic size-changing feature, presented globally in 1992 at Converflex.
Size change and Mechatronic
After 60 years, SATE still continues to impress the sector by producing mechatronic machines, the fastest in the world regarding size change (~10 seconds), now an essential feature for box and packaging producers.
The philosophy used by SATE is noteworthy,
as they put great emphasis on finding practical and simple solutions regarding maintenance, making their machines very user-friendly. The company offers different types of machines following the complete transformation cycle of coated boxes, in the various trade sectors, from boxes for leather goods and shoes, shirts, bottles, jewellery, CDs, DVDs, monocouvette, to cases and trays and many more. Mitering machines, Gluing machines, Centring machines, Benders, Coaters, Lidding machines and Laminating machines are among the machines produced by SATE with great care for details to make them durable.
The wide range of services offered, from technological support to production support, add value to the investment for the entire life of the machine. SATE guarantees the growth of its clients in terms of skills and potential. Each new project is coordinated by highly qualified staff who guarantee optimal lead time planning and control. All machines are
accurately tested and checked before delivery by highly qualified technicians and support engineers. Clients are invited to attend the testing phase on site, where the machines can be tested using different materials.
SATE also offers training courses for operators and maintenance workers.
